Why, oh why, do women support Trump?

My response is, “Why wouldn’t I?” Millions of women support Trump. See for yourself at any Trump rally

Fixed it: “What do I need a mind of my own for, these other broads are voting for him.”

Last week’s Trump rally in Charlotte was no different. The buzz, the excitement, the energy filled Bojangles Coliseum as Trump’s supporters from all over North Carolina came together.

Same, except during Obama’s rallies and election which were, ya know, based on hope and change, not hate and fear. Did these women…dislike that?

“Yeah, we know he sometimes says things that get him in trouble … that’s because he’s not working off a TelePrompter or a script fine tuned by a consultant or a focus group.”

Are you okay, honey? His reading off the teleprompter is painfully obvious, specifically when he’s trying to express human emotion. If he’s talking about how great he is, or what a “bigly” job he’s done, then he’s fine. That’s how he gets people so riled up. Say something enough, and people will start to believe you.

Plus, is this really that great of a justification? He flies off the cuff at press conferences? It’s like a college kid putting off studying and cramming for an exam and barely passing. Except minus the cramming part; so, basically, just failing miserable.

I’m just sorry, ladies, you’re going to have to give the lot of us a little more than, “Meh. He talks like my husband. Plus, everyone else is.”

In a similar vein, a Trump supporter on a CNN panel said that she supports “Donald Trump because he talks about the truth, and I feel that … the issue I’m most interested in is immigration.”

Truth, as we have learned, can be quite subjective. Why would you

want this bizarre reality where women are openly objectified and even assaulted? His only truth isn’t his over-the-top stance on immigration. If there’s one good thing I can say about Trump it’s that he’s been wholeheartedly honest and open about his many character flaws. If your best friend was dating this dude, would you be like, “Oh, well, grabbing pussies is just his truth. I love it.”

And there goes the immigration fear-mongering we’ve become so familiar with. These myopic approaches to candidates simply won’t fly, ladies.

On the same CNN panel, one woman was asked whether Trump’s comments about women bother her. She responded, “No, not at all because I’m looking at the bigger picture and that’s this country. This country is more important than what he says about women.”

Alrighty. I must be confused. I was almost positive that the way a President feels about women has absolutely everything to do with the fate of said women. With a monopoly in all branches of government, women, whether you want to puff out your privilege feathers or not, are in danger of being oppressed again. The women who burned their bras for our right to vote are still out there, and I’m sure they’re pretty pissed our complacency has brought us here.

I am begging you, no matter how ridiculous it seems, you are in real danger of losing at least some of the rights you’ve taken for granted.

Vote like your mother’s, daughters, sisters, aunts, and your own rights depend on it, because they do!

“He is for women probably more than Hillary Clinton is.”

One of the biggest proponents for the “What the fuck happened to the old school GOP?” movement, you’d be hard pressed for me to be surprised by much, but the blunt, willful ignorance of the following statement made on another CNN panel (along with a million others I’ve seen on Fox News): “You can throw all that suff up in our face as many times as you want, but that means that we will work harder for Trump.

Just for a little context, the conversation was surrounding a bout of hysteria, with the headline reading “You Are Looking for a Way to Impeach My President.”

In other words, we won’t let you impeach him no matter what he does. No matter how bad it is, “we will work harder for Trump.” As you can see, they’ll justify anything and there is a major question looming right now regarding what exactly constitutes the “lowest” for the President.

The bottom line, and something most of our mothers probably taught us was that actions speak louder than words. You can see how Trump treats highly credible female reporters. No matter how anti-mainstream media you may be, you must admit that this behavior, particularly aimed at women isn’t doing us any favors.

We will look at his treatment of women in general, but the press is his number one enemy, so females in the press are a double threat and are treated as such. If you’ve ever watched a press conference you’d see that the majority of the time he is dismissive, often looks to the side and smirks, and even more often interrupts them before they’re able to ask a question and then accuses them of being unable to ask a question, leading him into his next act, which is all about what a joke the “fake news” is.

He has also told women to sit down, but mostly ignores them. Things got especially heated at the time of the Kavanaugh hearing when the President flip flopped and seemed about to short circuit. He addressed a female reporter, deriding her by saying, “She’s shocked that I picked her,” as if she wasn’t in the room.

Again, nuance. Sometimes more is communicated in the intent or undertones of a statement. By saying “she is shocked” instead of “you were shocked,” he changed the narrative from laughing with her to laughing at her. “Bet you were shocked” indicates certain banter or repoire. “She is shocked” implies that she is not even privy to the conversation.

But he wasn’t done. Vega, an ABC News White House reporter remained polite, letting the President know she was not “shocked,” adding “Thank you, Mr. President.”

To which our darling President said, “I know you’re not thinking, you never do.

That last sentence, in a nut shell, sums up how President Trump feels about you. Part II, to be published tomorrow, will cover exactly the kinds of terrible things he has said about us, all while perpetuating a culture that we are somehow “less than,” despite all that we have overcome that men have not.

Until we meet again. If you thought this was long, storm’s coming.
